Why the Left Won’t Impeach Trump

Nancy won’t impeach. Period.

Since the beginning of her return to power in the House, Speaker Pelosi has thrown cold water on impeachment talk from her Left.

A sprinkle here—wait for the Mueller report.

A sprinkle there—it’s a waste without Republican votes.

But the vanguard radicals like Michigan Rep. Rashida “impeach the m-fer” Tlaib, and the vindictive old guard—posturing males, like New York Rep. Jerrold Nadler, who see themselves as heroes of the Republic—won’t quit.

They’re losing faith in Mueller. They want to use Congress to probe Trump until he breaks. To bury him in a pile of testimony like that of disgraced consigliere Michael Cohen.

But even after Cohen heaped dung on Trump, Pelosi wouldn’t bite. No impeachment, not now. Not even if orange man is unfit for office.

Now she’s made it official—no impeachment, not ever.

“Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country,” she told the Washington Post…

Adding a kicker that tells all. “And he’s just not worth it.”

Nancy is almost 80 years old. Nancy has seen some stuff. The transformation of the Democrats from a New Deal party to a Great Society party… from the party of Johnson’s landslide to the party of McGovern and Mondale’s complete humiliation… from the party of Carter’s malaise to the Clintons’ wild ride from bottom to top and back again, and again, and again.

Then she saw Barack Obama fundamentally transform America… yet not. And now she’s watching her party’s unhinged radicals acting as if it doesn’t matter how divided the country is so long as the white nationalist patriarchy is destroyed once and for all.

Pelosi knows politics. And she knows how to wait. So she’s led Democrats slowly to the realization that Trump isn’t the be-all, end-all figure so many think him to be.

Not for the radicals, who won’t be happy until the feminist-Maoist eco-state arises from the ashes of the Republic.

Not for the moderates, who still think we can teleport back to 2012 if only we all hold hands.

And not for the liberal elite, who don’t see Trump as a threat to their power within their own party.

In fact, says Pelosi with a wink, Trump has been good for America—he’s galvanized Democrats to raise more money and win more offices. Why piss off a bunch of Americans impeaching the man? When the Senate won’t even convict?

It’s all very clever on Nancy’s part… a little too clever. Trump may not be a threat to her party power or that of her ruling caste. But the failures she and her ilk brought down on America gave rise to Trump and the Democrats’ new revolutionary radicals.

Trump might never be able to get rid of Pelosi.

But the rabid Left? If they can’t dump Trump, guess who’s next in line?
